Pernyataan Etika Publikasi dan Malpraktik (Publication Ethics and Malpractice Statement)

JSCP merupakan jurnal elektronik yang ditelaah sejawat (peer-reviewed journal). Pernyataan ini menjelaskan tanggung jawab etis semua pihak yang terlibat dalam proses penerbitan artikel ilmiah di jurnal ini, termasuk penulis, editor utama, dewan editor, penelaah sejawat (reviewer), dan penerbit.

Pernyataan etika ini disusun berdasarkan Pedoman Praktik Terbaik COPE (COPE’s Best Practice Guidelines for Journal Editors).

Etika bagi Editor

  1. Tanggung Jawab Utama
    Editor bertanggung jawab atas setiap artikel yang diterbitkan di jurnal ini.

  2. Bimbingan bagi Penulis
    Editor membantu penulis untuk mematuhi panduan penulisan yang telah ditetapkan oleh jurnal.

  3. Konsultasi dan Keputusan Editorial
    Dalam mengambil keputusan akhir penerbitan, editor dapat berkomunikasi dengan editor lain atau penelaah.

  4. Objektivitas Penilaian
    Penilaian terhadap naskah dilakukan secara objektif, tanpa memandang latar belakang ras, agama, jenis kelamin, senioritas, etnis, pandangan politik, afiliasi institusi, atau kebangsaan penulis.
    Editor wajib mengundurkan diri dari proses penilaian apabila terdapat potensi konflik kepentingan.

  5. Kerahasiaan Identitas
    Editor harus memastikan bahwa identitas penulis dan penelaah tidak saling diketahui (double-blind review).

  6. Transparansi Keputusan
    Keputusan editor terhadap naskah harus disampaikan kepada penulis beserta komentar dari penelaah, kecuali komentar yang bersifat menghina atau tidak pantas.

  7. Permintaan Khusus Penulis
    Editor perlu menghormati permintaan penulis agar naskahnya tidak ditelaah oleh pihak tertentu, bila ada alasan yang dapat diterima.

  8. Kerahasiaan Naskah
    Editor dan seluruh staf editorial wajib menjaga kerahasiaan naskah yang dikirimkan.

  9. Penyelesaian Perselisihan Etika
    Apabila ditemukan dugaan kesalahan atau pelanggaran etika dalam penulisan, editor akan menyelesaikan permasalahan tersebut dengan berpedoman pada panduan COPE.

Etika bagi Penelaah (Reviewers)

  1. Penelaah memberikan komentar objektif dan konstruktif mengenai isi naskah serta kemungkinan adanya pelanggaran etika penelitian dan publikasi.

  2. Penelaah wajib menyelesaikan tugasnya tepat waktu dan memberi tahu editor apabila tidak dapat menyelesaikan penelaahan.

  3. Penelaah harus menjaga kerahasiaan seluruh naskah yang ditelaah dan tidak boleh menyebarluaskannya.

  4. Penelaah tidak boleh menerima penugasan apabila terdapat potensi konflik kepentingan dengan penulis atau penelitian yang ditelaah.

Etika bagi Penulis (Authors)

  1. Penulis harus memastikan bahwa naskah yang dikirimkan belum pernah dipublikasikan sebelumnya dan tidak sedang diajukan ke jurnal lain.

  2. Penulis wajib menjamin keaslian hasil penelitian serta mengutip sumber rujukan secara tepat sesuai pedoman penulisan jurnal.

  3. Penulis tidak diperkenankan melakukan plagiarisme dalam bentuk apa pun.

  4. Penulis wajib mengikuti pedoman penulisan yang berlaku.

  5. Penulis tidak disarankan untuk menampilkan informasi pribadi yang dapat mengungkap identitas pasien (misalnya deskripsi, foto, atau silsilah keluarga). Jika penggunaan foto pasien sangat diperlukan, persetujuan tertulis dari pasien wajib diperoleh dan dinyatakan secara jelas.

  6. Untuk penelitian yang melibatkan manusia, penulis harus menyatakan bahwa penelitian telah dilakukan sesuai standar etika Deklarasi Helsinki. Jika terdapat keraguan, penulis wajib memberikan penjelasan.

  7. Untuk penelitian yang melibatkan hewan, penulis harus menyatakan bahwa pedoman kesejahteraan hewan laboratorium telah diikuti dengan baik.

  8. Penulis wajib menyerahkan data atau rincian penelitian kepada editor apabila terdapat dugaan pemalsuan atau fabrikasi data.

  9. Penulis harus mengungkapkan potensi konflik kepentingan, seperti dukungan pendanaan penelitian, hubungan kerja, biaya konsultasi, atau kepemilikan hak kekayaan intelektual.

 

Publication Ethics and Malpractice Statement

JSCP is a peer-reviewed electronic journal. This statement outlines the ethical responsibilities of all parties involved in the publication process of scientific articles in this journal, including authors, the editor-in-chief, editorial board members, peer reviewers, and the publisher.

This ethical statement is based on the COPE’s Best Practice Guidelines for Journal Editors.

Ethics for Editors

Main Responsibilities

The editor is responsible for every article published in this journal.

Guidance for Authors

Editors must assist authors in complying with the journal’s established writing and submission guidelines.

Consultation and Editorial Decisions

In making the final publication decision, editors may consult with other editors or reviewers.

Objectivity in Assessment

Manuscripts must be evaluated objectively, without regard to the authors’ race, religion, gender, seniority, ethnicity, political beliefs, institutional affiliation, or nationality.
Editors must withdraw from the review process if there is any potential conflict of interest.

Confidentiality of Identities

Editors must ensure that the identities of both authors and reviewers are kept confidential (double-blind review).

Transparency of Decisions

Editorial decisions regarding manuscripts must be communicated to authors, accompanied by reviewers’ comments—except for any comments deemed offensive or inappropriate.

Author’s Special Requests

Editors should respect reasonable requests from authors that their manuscripts not be reviewed by certain individuals, provided such requests are well justified.

Manuscript Confidentiality

Editors and all editorial staff must maintain the confidentiality of submitted manuscripts.

Resolution of Ethical Disputes

In cases of suspected errors or ethical misconduct in a manuscript, editors will address the issue in accordance with COPE guidelines.

Ethics for Reviewers

Reviewers are expected to provide objective and constructive comments on the content of the manuscript and to identify any potential violations of research or publication ethics.

Reviewers must complete their reviews in a timely manner and notify the editor if they are unable to meet the deadline.

All reviewed manuscripts must be treated as confidential documents and may not be disclosed or shared with others.

Reviewers must decline to review any manuscript if a conflict of interest exists with the author(s) or the research under review.

Ethics for Authors

Authors must ensure that submitted manuscripts have not been previously published and are not under consideration by another journal.

Authors are responsible for guaranteeing the originality of their work and for providing accurate citations according to the journal’s referencing style.

Plagiarism in any form is strictly prohibited.

Authors must adhere to the journal’s submission and writing guidelines.

Authors should avoid including personal or identifying information of patients (e.g., descriptions, photographs, or family trees).
If patient images are essential, written informed consent must be obtained and explicitly stated in the manuscript.

For research involving human participants, authors must confirm that the study was conducted in accordance with the ethical standards of the Declaration of Helsinki.
In cases of uncertainty, authors must provide clarification to the editor.

For research involving animals, authors must confirm that all animal welfare guidelines were properly followed.

Authors must be prepared to provide raw data or research details to the editor if there are concerns about data fabrication or falsification.

Authors are required to disclose any potential conflicts of interest, including research funding, employment relationships, consultancy fees, or ownership of intellectual property rights.
