DORA ENDORSEMENT AND POLICY
Public Statement
In endorsing the San Francisco Declaration on Research Assessment (DORA), our jurnal reaffirms its commitment to evaluating research and researchers based on the quality, rigor, and impact of their contributions rather than relying on journal-based metrics such as the Journal Impact Factor. This endorsement aligns with our ongoing efforts to foster a research culture that values openness, integrity, and diverse forms of scholarship.
We are implementing several measures to operationalize responsible research assessment, including:
-
Adopting transparent and criteria-based evaluation practices for hiring, promotion, and funding decisions.
-
Recognizing a broad range of research outputs, such as datasets, software, policy briefs, community-engaged scholarship, and interdisciplinary work.
-
Encouraging open science practices, including preprints, open data, and open-access publishing when feasible.
-
Providing training and guidance to evaluators and researchers on responsible use of metrics.
-
Regularly reviewing our assessment processes to ensure they remain fair, inclusive, and aligned with international best practices.
By endorsing DORA, we aim to support a research environment that rewards innovation, collaboration, and meaningful contributions to society.
